  • Why should I use a plan manager?

    Having a plan manager takes the stress and hassle out of managing your NDIS plan. For example, our plan managers at Empowrd handle a range of tasks including claiming funds from the NDIS, paying the service providers, and monitoring your NDIS budget, among many others.

  • Does plan management cost anything?

    The service is completely free of charge as long as your NDIS plan includes ‘Improved Life Choices’, which is the support category that NDIS plan management falls under.

  • Will this affect my disability funding?

    The NDIS will cover the cost of your Plan Manager in addition to providing you with your usual disability funding, so you do not need to worry about the extra money for plan management reducing the amount of your budget for care and therapy.

  • How are my providers paid?

    When your providers submit their invoices, the funds are claimed against the service bookings that your plan manager has made with NDIS. The NDIS will release these funds as soon as possible and your provider can be paid within 24 hours or less, depending on if approval is still required.

  • Can I replace my NDIS plan manager?

    Whenever you wish, you can switch plan managers during your plan. You should notify your existing plan manager and confirm the date of termination. To make sure there are no delays in processing payments, it is best to have a new plan manager lined up before making the change.

  • Is it possible for the NDIS to deny my request for a plan manager?

    No, absolutely not. All NDIS participants have the right to nominate a plan manager, without the need to explain the reason for getting one.
